SEWER AIR TESTING PROCEDURE:
1.Clean the inner wall of both ends of the test pipe.
2.Pipe plugs are placed at both end of the test pipe, and then the pipe plug is inflated according to the specified pressure as table 1 shows and don’t over pressure, so that the pipe plug tightly attach to the inner wall of the pipe, should not leak.
3.Air shall be slowly supplied to the plugged pipe until the internal air pressure reaches 3000pa, the internal pressure from 3000Pa to 2000Pa can not be less than 5min. The air pressure drops fast and should be properly replenished. The air pressure drops too slowly and should be properly vented.
4.According to the specified air testing time of different pipe diameters as table 2 shows, measure and record the time of internal pressure from 2000 Pa fall to 1500 Pa, the falling time cannot be less than the time specified in the table2.
5.If the air test fails, leak check, repair and retest should be performed.
6.After the sewer air testing inspection is completed, the air in the pipeline is first excluded, then the gas in the pipe plug is eliminated, and the pipe plug is finally removed.
Notice:
1. Please do not do sewer air testing when it is raining.
2. Don’t r enter the dangerous zone.
